Struggle for existence, natural selection, and divergence.

From that to this... Evolution is the gradual development of something. The explanation of natural phenomena in terms of physical laws that were the same for all visible things that did not require the existence of any fixed natural categories or divine cosmic order. Or in other words... we changed the design.
